Minutes of the Meeting held on the 6th July 2020

Present: R Winter (Chairman), A. Inglis. P. Drewery  B. Hancock

This meeting was held by Zoom no members of the public joined the meeting

1213       The Chairman welcomed the members to the meeting and reported the sad passing of Councillor Strange this council have appreciated the work, time and advice he has given over many years.

1214       Public Participation.  

1215       Minutes of the meeting held on the 2nd March were approved.

1216       Matters Arising:      Stones were still outside the cottage on Moor Road – the clerk had reported to the Highways dept., will follow up

The Defibrillator box had been fitted and is awaiting the machine to be inserted. The Chairman would contact Cllr. Young re this.

1222       Planning              Cllr Inglis made the point regarding the number of planning application within the village being passed for dwellings of an extensive footprint when there is clearly a need for affordable housing the clerk was asked to pass these concerns on to the planning departmen        

1212       Matters Reported:          Potholes and the state of the road from Gulham Road  to the main road Junction at Bishopbridge.

Mrs. Keele had volunteered to donate the plants for the village in memory of her husband the Chairman asked for a letter to be sent thanking her.

The sign on the Jubilee tree is in a poor state. Cllr Drury will look into this matter.
