1361 The Chairman commenced the meeting by welcoming the members of the public.
1362 Public Participation. 1 member of the public enquired as to why the grass bank was not strimmed outside of his property. There was some discussion that the bank is very steep but the Clerk would contact Mr. Cade to see if it was possible for him to include this in his rounds.
1363 Matters Arising. The Clerk reported that enquires had been made regarding the parked Caravan on Church Lane. It would appear that as it is not on the highway the home owner is within their rights and therefore is not a matter for the Parish Council.
1364 Finance: Approval given for payment to
S. Cade for Grass Cutting £240.00
WLDC for election costs £104.68
1365 Planning: Greenwood Farm - e-mail from Mr Taylor was read out, the plans were discussed and the Councillors agreed that they would support these plans should Mr. Taylor go to appeal. The clerk would pass this on to Mr. Taylor.
1366 Cllr. Inglis passed on a message of thanks from Thornton Church PCC their appreciation and thanking the council for their continued support to the Church.
1367 Matters reported to Councillors.
Concern regarding Speeding entering the Village on Moor Road.
Black Waste Bin not being emptied on Moor Road opposite Stanton Lodge
Regrowth in the hedge bottom on the Church Path.
Dangerous condition of the old Notice Board – Cllr Schofield has made arrangements to have it removed in the near future.
The Meeting closed at 8.08pm
Next Meeting to be held on Monday the 4th September 2023
