Minutes of the Meeting held on the 7th March 2023

1341       The Chairman opened the meeting and welcomed the members of the public

 

1342       Public Participation:   Reported Norther Powergrid had left the grass verge at the junction of Gulham Lane and Thornton Road in a rough state whilst carrying out work to the new properties. The Clerk to request this is tidied up.

 

                The Path to the church is again in need of clearing. The Clerk to contact the Footpaths officer.

 

                The church Clock not working, Jonathan Burton would look at it.

 

1343       The minutes of the previous meeting were approved and signed.

 

1344       Matters Arising.

               

                The Clerk had written to LCC to request the council be put on the gritting route in the future, no reply           had been received at this date. In the interim the clerk would put in a request for more salt bins.

 

1345       Finance.

 

                Payment made to Greenbarnes Ltd for new notice board           £1656.85

 

1346       Discussion regarding the Coronation of King Charles it was decided that the Parish Council would be willing to give support to anyone who wished to organise an event in the village there is some funding available via the National Lottery  Community Fund http://www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk/funding/under10k

 

1347       Request was made for consideration of a room rent increase this would be further discussed at the next meeting.

The next meeting will be the AGM at 7.30pm followed by a meeting of the Council on the 15th May 2023
