Minutes of the  Meeting held on the 9th May 2022

 

Present:  Cllr. B. Hancock,Cllrs. A. Inglis, M. Burton, H. Davidson, T. Schofield, P. Drewery.

The meeting of the council followed on from the AGM

 

1307       Public Participation.  There were no comments from the public.

 

1308       Matters Arising.

 

                There had been no further communication from the Church ref Ramps

                No notification of planning approvals had been received.

                Potholes & road problems are still ongoing the clerk had reported to highways.

 

1309       Finance.

                                                The accounts to the year-end 31st March were approved and signed

1310                       Certificate of Exemption - Agar 2021/22

1311                       Annual Governance Statement 2021/22

1312                       Accounting Statements 2021/22     

1313                       Payments were approved for

                                                LALC       Website Maintenance        £60.00

                                                Zurich Insurance                  £211.89

 

1314                       Tenders for Grass Cutting had been received from

                                S. Cade                   £120 per month plus fuel Costs

                                A. J. Williams         £180 plus VAT per cut

 

After much consideration the decision was taken to ask Mr. Cade to carry out the grass cutting for this year.

1315       Defibrillator. The need for a further machine was discussed and the Clerk would get more information to bring to the next meeting, the chairman asked if Mr. & Mrs Burton would be willing to consider providing an electricity supply.

Other business

Cllr Davidson raised concerns that the builders had piped in surface water into a drain that has constantly caused flooding and then curbed around it causing further potential problems in the future. The clerk to inform both highways and planning depts.

Cllr. Burton has concerns regarding the siting of  a large mobile home on hard standing at Cater Lane, the clerk had not received any planning application and would make enquiries.
