Minutes of the Meeting held on the 5th July 2021
Present: Cllrs B. Hancock, A. Schofield, P. Drewery, H Davidson, M Burton and J Young.

1269 The Chairman opened the meeting and reported the passing of Mrs. Madge Cade who will be sadly missed in the village, the church, having been a Church Warden for many years and as a loyal attendee for many years at the parish council meetings, Madge had a fund of knowledge which was much appreciated by the council. A card of condolence was signed.
1270 The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
1271 Matters Arising: The new obelisk had been erected and the old one repaired.
A further quote had been received to replace the plaque on the tree in the church yard; the Chairman will talk to the company with regard to their recommendation.
1272 Finance: Payments were approved for Hansard Haulage £44.00
J Cade Grass cutting £244.10
1273 Planning: Land off Thornton Road
Applications for a variation to the original plans were received and no objections raised.
1274 Matters reported: Cllr; Hancock reported to the council there had been problems caused by the lack of consideration when road signs had been put out before road works were carried out on Moor Road, the clerk would write to the Highways Dept.
The next meeting will be held on Monday the 13th September,
